These pagers, operated by Advantage Communications in Kerrville are our basic emergency notification device and should be carried by members at all times. Each member is responsible to keep fresh AAA alkaline batteries in the pager to ensure proper operation.

Should you have trouble with the unit, return it to the Fire Chief or acting chief and they will give you an exchange unit. Do not call or take it to Advantage Communication.

A TLVFD cap is given permanently to each member to identify them as members of the department during meetings, training and external functions.

Additional or replacement caps are available from the department for $10.00 each.

A TLVFD T- Shirt is given permanently to each member to identify them as members of the department during meetings, training and external functions.

 2. Hard Hat with Shield or Goggles and protective Hood - $60.00

A hard hat is to be worn on all emergency calls unless told to do otherwise by an Officer. In some cases, the TLVFD Cap is suitable to be worn, such as for traffic control or on some training exercises. Should one want to do so, you can get the goggles with your prescription (at your cost).

 3. Fire Resistance Gloves $17.00

Fire resistance heavy-duty gloves for working in the fire zone. Gloves are required on all scenes. However, should you want to use something lighter for operating one of the Truck systems or for training, you may purchase and use a lighter leather glove of your choice.
